THE LAST EYEWITNESS COMES TO NASHVILLE

On Tuesday, April 11th IKON will host THE LAST EYEWITNESS in the main worship center at The People's Church in Franklin, TN. THE LAST EYEWITNESS is an alternative worship experience telling the story of Jesus through scenes from the Gospel of John. During the night, communication will take the form of art from UK visual artist Rob Pepper, music from Robbie Seay Band and Don and Lori Chaffer of Waterdeep, and experiential teaching from author/pastor Chris Seay (brother of Robbie Seay and IKON's Brian Seay - See how incestuous it all is?).

All of these artists/communicators have been collaborating for some time now on THE VOICE, a paraphrase bible project of sorts that aims to present the whole of scripture as one grand story. This evening in the Gospel of John is a preview of that project in a sense. Other contributors to this bible project THE VOICE are Donald Miller, Brian McClaren, Lauren Winner, and many others. THE VOICE will be available in 2007. Come see THE LAST EYEWITNESS April 11th. It's free.

Shaun,

How can I get more info on this? I might be interested in having them here at Grace Church in St. Louis.

Your friend,
Brad Andrews

My company's booking it. Contact Brian:

brian@thehummingbirdagency.com

or

BUT, as far as I know this run of shows is booked solid. There is talk though of a possible encore later this year. So contact Brian and let him know you're interested. The interest alone could create another tour later this year to meet demand. if such a tour materializes I'll post about it here immediately and add THE VOICE folks to our site at thehummingbirdagency.com.

Waterdeep alone is worth coming to see since they do not gig these days. Folks are coming from all over, hopping buses and planes, just to catch the rare Waterdeep performance.

Get in touch with Brian.

I was going to ask you about Don Chaffer. I wasn't sure if you had heard much of him. His "Whole 'Nother Deal" is pretty amazing. Also "What you don't know" blows me away. I'm a fan.

Where can we find the complete tour list? I would love to make the 16 hour drive to N-Ville for this, but that is not possible.

So when you say "music from..." do you mean recorded music or do you mean the musicians themselves. I'll drive just about anywhere to see Don and Lori Chaffer.

The musicians, as I understand it, wrote or co-wrote songs to accompany this new THE VOICE bible. The artists on the tour are on the recorded product which will release sometime this year and will have many volumes more releasing in the future months. Don produced most if not all of the music. He wrote some too.
