LONDON

Just arrived in London from Scotland (5:15PM), took a cab from the train station to our hostel and checked in. Edinburgh (pronounced Edinburough) was relaxing. We spent almost the entire day touring the castle there, home to Kings and Queens for hundreds of years. More on that later I'm sure.

I won't be playing any music here in London but hope to take some in. We'll see the musical Chicago (starring Ashley (sp?) Simpson) tomorrow and hopefully get to hang out some with a couple journalist friends based here as well - over fish and chips would be nice.

I've caught the cold that left Brian a few days ago so I'm resting up and eating plenty - you know, for medicinal purposes - so I can be well enough to sing in Germany this weekend. Pictures to come and stories to tell when I return home. Until then, or the next WiFi spotting...

Good to hear from you. Sounds very relaxing! I'm praying for you all (and the grandparents.) Hope you get to feeling better, stinks being sick on vacation!

Didn't you mention a connection between the Simpson sisters and your family in the past? Babysitting or something? Or am I thinking of someone else?

Kat,
I am the same Cristy that reads your blog. Having Jessica's hand-me-downs...well, what do I say here? That's not really uncool...can't exactly say it's cool (to ME anyway), but it's not uncool.

Anyway, I was thinking Shaun blogged at some point in the past about Becky babysitting for the Jessica and Ashley when they were little... or something along those lines.

I posted over on Kat's blog - on the hand-me-down post actually - about the connection.

Becky and Amy went to church with the Simpsons. Their dad was the youth minister at the church Becky and Amy's dad pastored. Amy got in touch with the Mrs. Simpson and got us some tickets.

Good memory.

Show's tomorrow night.
