TEXAS THANK YOUS

To everyone in Round Rock/Austin, Texas this weekend, thanks for the best time possible in 100 degree heat. (I didn't know children could just burst into flame like that.) Wish I could have stayed for the game but Pappasito's was calling my colon to the party. Congrats to The RIver 102.3 for getting off the ground and running. Thanks for spreading the word about the show. And thanks to Nolan Ryan for the autographed baseball...which I left behind. Doh!

I'll be back to post later in the day hopefully but seeing as how I've been away for a couple days I need to hang out with my family a while first. I'm off to make some waffles. (by "make" I mean "heat up" of course.)

Why did I know exactly what you meant when you said you were "making" waffles?

100 degree heat? You can keep it! I don't care how "dry" it is. Hang out with the kids, have a great time, and shlog whenever you're ready.

Shaun - Not sure if you're a big sports fan or not. I haven't really heard you talk about sports much.

But I'd just like to point out that even if you didn't want to keep that Nolan Ryan autographed ball, you could have probably sold it for enough money to blow the top off your little blue thermometer.

I'm not trying to make you feel bad or anything. I'm just sayin'.

Hey Shaun,

Ben here from Progeny. We enjoyed sharing your stage that evening. You are a very interesting person. I wish they would have provided a nice cool "artist lounge" so that we could sit for a while and have stimulating conversation, instead of putting our refreshments in the men's changing room that smelled like old socks. The follow up event was a great success. Thank you for helping lay the groundwork. Hope to see you in a similar setting in the future.

Later,

Ben
