HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE ANTI-CHRIST

6.6.06. Day the anti-christ is revealed? Day the world ends? Day Satanists take over? Start of WWIII?

Douglas Adams had a name for today's date in his Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy: a number whose value can be anything but itself, and its use in practice was that the given hour for a dinner party was the one moment in time when it was impossible for any of the guests to arrive.

Predict a day or an hour for anything, in other words, and it will be the exact day and hour on which that thing certainly WON'T happen. So rest easy, world, if Douglas Adams is right today is not the end or beginning of anything because some folks say that it is.

for me it was my husband's birthday! I baked brownies. . and made a great dinner. .

there's been a bit of fuss about this date! One of my husband's co-workers said: "Oh, its gonna be raining toads!"

LOL!

Douglas Adams died at age 42, though... I don't know how sound his philosophy is.

A load of us uni students went into the centre of the city, had a poke war (where you poke each other and shout loudly) and then played dead for a minute at 6.06pm. Then we walked away as if nothing happened.

That was as exciting as the day got.

Unbelievable! 666 was the day that Satan picked to destroy all of mankind! Looks like the Lord in His patience was stronger and redeemed another 24 hours...

I went on a double date with a couple I didn't really know. Made two new friends. Anyone else join the Lord in "redeeming" yesterday? :)
